The Light is the closing track on the *Firefly* album. It’s a song about a lot of things–mostly about speaking hard truths, seeing things for what they really are, and standing together in the light. Of all the songs I’ve written and performed so far, this one has evolved the most–perspective, meaning, storytelling, rhythm and cadence–and the dynamics are different depending on who’s playing along with me. I hope you enjoy the intro story!
Dina Hall Band is featured at Lehigh Valley Phantoms Saturday Night Hockey Live–celebrating LGBT PRIDE–in partnership with Bradbury Sullivan LGBT Community Center, in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Such a meaningful event, with Kira Willey and Choir & Co. pop-up choir in celebration of PRIDE month, plus I made a new friend. Michael Lear and I met tonight during stage set up, and he very graciously added drums to a couple of songs. This one is Least Complicated by Indigo Girls. I haven’t played it in years, but it was perfect for the event.
